NRI Loans

Welcome to the NRI Centre. We have made an attempt here to furnish important features applicable to Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and People of Indian Origin having foreign nationality and residing in foreign countries. (PIO).

Almost all the banks that are listed on this site offer loans to NRIs. However, there are some conditions specific to NRI Loans

The loans can be extended to NRI s/ PIO card holders/ OCI card holders

Term : The tenure of loan for NRI’s is up-to 15 years. However few banks extend the loan term up-to 20 years as well. The loan terms also depends on the age of the applicant.

Payment : All payments related to re-payment of loan can only be through a NRE or a NRO account.

POA Holder : Most of the banks for an NRI loan applicant require an Indian resident as Power of Attorney holder. The POA signs most of the documents for loan processing and disbursement thereof.

The applicants need to present the lending banks with the relevant documents which determine their eligibility such as Income Documents, bank statements etc. Additional documents asked for are: a valid, work permit or VISA of the residing country etc.
